Ion Bank Awards $40K In Nonprofit Grants

Ion Bank Foundation recently awarded $39,700 in grants to eight area nonprofits.

The funds will be used to support a wide variety of projects and programs in the communities served by the bank.

The recipients include:

Children’s Community School – $5,000
Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven – $2,500
Mattatuck Museum – $3,500
Seven Angels Theatre – $7,500
Shelton Economic Development Corp. – $5,000
StayWell Health Care -$10,000
Women’s Business Development Council – $5,000
Women and Families Center – $1,200

“We are very pleased to award needed funding to these local agencies that provide valuable services to our local communities,” Charles J. Boulier III, president and CEO of Ion Bank and Ion Bank Foundation, said in a statement.
