Nutmeg State FCU has filed an application with the Connecticut Department of Banking to open its first full-service branch in Stratford.

Rocky Hill-based Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union has filed an application with the Connecticut Department of Banking to open a full service branch in Milford.

If approved, the Milford branch would mark the credit union’s 10th office. Nutmeg in October filed an application to open a full-service branch in Stratford, which is now in operation. The branch, located at Shoprite, was a Housatonic Teachers FCU branch before Nutmeg merged with Housatonic.

The roughly $427.6 million asset credit union has over 38,000 members and also has branches in Manchester, New Britain, Hartford, Glastonbury, West Hartford, Cromwell and Orange.
