For its annual Day of Caring community event, Pearce Real Estate participated in training to use CPR and AEDs to help save lives.

Mike Papale, founder and president of nonprofit In A Heartbeat of Wallingford, administered the training. The nonprofit raises awareness and enables research for sudden cardiac problems and donates automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to places in need.

The North Haven Fire Department training facility hosted Pearce Real Estate, with Scott Martus, deputy fire chief-operations/deputy fire marshal for North Haven, assisting in the training.

“We usually perform helpful tasks using more manual labor, lending a hand where it’s needed in the community at our annual Day of Caring event,” Barbara L. Pearce, CEO and president of Pearce Real Estate, said in a statement. “This year, we are empowering our agents and staff with the skills to help people in critical need of live saving care. This is a something they can use for the rest of their lives.”
