A Stamford software firm is leaving the city for a brand-new office in Fairfield.

Q88 signed the 7,800-square-foot lease of the building at 1501 Kings Highway East in Fairfield in recent days. The move will mean Q88 will nearly double its space, according to Franco Fellah of Westport-based HK Group, who represented building owner Powerscourt Westover LLC.

Q88 is a software provider to the maritime industry with offices in Stamford, London, Athens and Singapore.

The company chose the 1501 Kings Highway East building due to its immediate proximity to the Fairfield Metro train station, Fellah said in a statement, combined with its attractive, modern industrial space look. The move is slated to occur this summer.
