Berlin's train station.

Meriden isn’t the only city seeing developer interest in new housing, spurred by new transit connections.

Developers Anthony Valenti and Mark Lovley are planning an $18 million mixed-use village in Berlin near the city’s Hartford Line train station, according to the Hartford Business Journal. The line runs regular commuter service between Hartford and New Haven and launched last year.

The project would cover 4 acres, and include 76 apartments and 19,000 square feet of medical office and commercial space.
