A large portion of the unit in a 100-unit East Hartford condominium complex have been sold for $83,333 per unit.

The $7.5 million sale covered 90 units in the Wickham Gardens complex. The complex is located on 6.7 acres at 1267 Burnside Ave., on the East Hartford-Manchester town line, near an Interstate 84 interchange and directly across the street from the ornamental gardens at Wickham Park. The compelx consists of 49 one-bedroom and 41 two-bedroom apartments in seven building clusters.

Built in the mid-1960s, the property was declared as condominium in 1988. Only a handful of units were sold at that time, leaving the property as a “fractured” condominium complex, according to the Chozick Realty Inc., which brokered the transaction. The current seller acquired the property in the mid-1990s and had operated it for over 20 years.

Rick Chozick and Steve Pappas of Chozick  Realty’s Hartford office facilitated the sale, marketing the property on behalf of the seller, who held their units under Eagle Capital Group LLC and F. Wild LLC, as well as procuring the buyer, North Point Management.
