A group of investors that includes Mohegan Sun is proposing to bring a new sports team to the Hartford area, and it wants to build a 7,000-seat stadium to house it.

The group has submitted a proposal to the National Women’s Soccer League, the Hartford Business Journal reports, and would seek to build a stadium on land it controls in Windsor that also houses Fastpitch Nation Park, a new softball facility.

The timing of the project is still in flux, the paper reports.
