A member of Litchfield Bancorp’s board of directors has retired after 28 years.
James P. O’Leary was honored by the bank at a dinner held at Tavern off the Green in the Litchfield Inn on on April 24. O’Leary was presented with a plaque of appreciation from Litchfield Bancorp, as well as a citation from the state of Connecticut acknowledging that while on the board of directors, his leadership helped Litchfield Bancorp continue his legacy of providing quality banking opportunities and commend his commitment and dedication to the communities it serves.
In addition to serving on LBC’s board of directors, O’Leary was a member of many other boards, among them, 15 years on the Connecticut Mutual Holding Co., 12 years as Goshen’s first selectman, nine years on the Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation and, for the past 45 years, continues to serve as a member of the Goshen Fire Co.
“In honor of Jim’s dedication, commitment and service, a $1,000 donation from our recently established Litchfield Bancorp Directors Advised Fund will be made to an organization of his choosing. This donation in Jim’s name will be the inaugural donation from this enduring fund,” Thomas Villanova, president and CEO of Litchfield Bancorp said during the presentation.
