Ribbon Cut on First of Five New Haven Multifamily Buildings

Top officials with the city of New Haven and developer RMS Cos. gathered at Parkside Crossing, a new 110-unit building in the city’s Hill-to-Downtown neighborhood, for a ribbon cutting that marks a major milestone in the neighborhood’s revitalization, according to the New Haven Independent.

RMS is building five apartment buildings on once-empty lots in the neighborhood, which links downtown to Metro North, Hartford Line and Shoreline East trains at Union Station. In total, the buildings will add around 450 new apartments to the neighborhood.

At least 30 percent of the apartments will be affordable to those making 80 percent of the area median income.
