Gov. Ned Lamont faces increasing pressure from Democratic legislative leaders to find a compromise with Republican legislators over tolls, delaying a vote on one of the governor’s signature initiatives.

Senior Democrats said they don’t expect a vote on tolls until mid-July or September, The Connecticut Post reported.

Republicans are loud and united in their opposition to Lamont’s tolling plan, which is aimed at using money from out-of-state drivers to improve the state’s transportation infrastructure.
