In anticipation of the largest incoming freshman class in the institution’s history, Albertus Magnus University has purchased three buildings that formerly housed the Overseas Ministry Service Center, which has relocated to join Princeton University Theological Seminary.

The three buildings at 490 and 492 Prospect St. and 411 Mansfield St. in New Haven include more than 27,880 total square feet of office and living space. The $5 million purchase allows the college to immediately offer 27 residences.

“The purchase coincides with the upcoming arrival of the largest incoming class in the college’s 94-year history,” the college said in a statement. To date, there are 275 first-year and transfer students arriving on the private Dominican college’s campus for this coming semester.
