Residents of Greenwich’s Backcountry mansion district are upset at a plan to build condominiums on the former estate of movie star Mel Gibson.
Around 100 residents came out to a town environmental hearing on the project, according to the Greenwich Time. The project would see four lots combined into one 75-acre parcel, with 28 condos built across the site.
Residents expressed fears about stormwater and sediment runoff. The project requires numerous land use permits, the paper reports.
The property at 124 Round Hill Road was previously listed for just under $20 million.
