Officials in the town of Avon have voted to deny planning permission to a golf course redevelopment that would have seen 95 condominiums and three estate homes.
The town’s planning and zoning commission voted unanimously to reject the application from Keystone Cos. Tuesday night, The Hartford Courant reported, in the face of strong community opposition.
The development would have been built on a 37-acre parcel, with the remaining 183 acres of ex-golf course set aside as conservation land.
