Payrailz, a Glastonbury-based digital payments company servicing banks and credit unions, has hired Gereen Langmeyer as vice president of payment products.

In her new role, Langmeyer will report to Payrailz CEO Fran Duggan as she oversees everything relating to product design, pricing and promotion of full range of digital payment products. She will also work closely with the company’s strategy and innovation team to create new features and services and to develop new products and use cases.

“Gereen’s extensive experience as both an expert in payments technology and in financial institution operations will be invaluable as we continue developing payments services that transform the financial industry,” Duggan said in a statement. “We are constantly looking to create a newer, more innovative payments experience based on the cutting-edge potential of AI, and we are confident that Gereen will help us realize these objectives through her strategic perspective.”

Langmeyer has nearly 20 years of experience working with financial institutions in various payments and technology roles. She spent 13 years at Digital Federal Credit Union, where she was most recently the digital channels manager and was primarily responsible for the online and mobile banking product. As electronic services manager, she had previously overseen the credit union’s payment operations functions, including wire transfers, ACH and bill pay.

“Payrailz has an inspiring vision for the payments industry and I am truly delighted to join its team of forward-thinkers,” Gereen said in a statement. “With innovations in artificial intelligence and predictive analytics developing constantly, I look forward to using my payments industry experience to help manage and develop payments products that will help credit unions and banks offer consumers the most innovative payments experience possible.”
