A Cambria hotel is headed for a superblock development slowly rising in place of parking lots left over from an ill-fated, midcentury attempt at urban renewal in New Haven.
The 6-story, 130-room upscale building was approved at last night’s City Plan Commission meeting, according to the New Haven Independent.
The superblock at the corner of MLK Jr. Boulevard and Dwight Street in the city’s West River neighborhood has been slowly developed in recent years and includes a childcare center and a Rite Aid pharmacy.
