Despite reducing the number of toll gantries in his soon-to-be-released plan to fund much-needed repairs to the state’s transportation, Gov. Ned Lamont appears not to have been able to quench the fires of opposition that doomed his last plan.

According to the Connecticut Post, No Tolls CT recently sent out a large number of mailers stating Lamont was trying to “tax you for driving to work.”

The group stated that it was categorically opposed to tolling because it did not trust state legislators not to re-appropriate the money from transportation to other uses.
