An East Haven light industrial building has sold to a buyer who plans to use it for his HVAC business.

Christopher Morley bought the 12,000-square-foot property at 17 Commerce St. in the East Haven Industrial Park from for $750,000 from an LLC, DCR7CT LLC, which had received the property in mid-December via a foreclosure deed, according to public records.

Morley plans to use 7,000 square feet of the property for his HVAC business and continue leasing out the remaining space to Mikey’s Transport, according to Colonial Properties broker Mike Richetelli, who represented the seller. Richetelli noted the building sold within 45 days of listing. Morley was represented by Kevin Geenty of The Geenty Group.

“We are pleased that we were able to sell this building for full price with a 45 day closing for our client. The favorable terms we procured for the seller indicate the strong demand in the market for quality light industrial, especially owner/user buildings such as this.”  Richetelli said in a statement.
