Employees of Thomaston Savings Bank chose 20 nonprofits to receive $1,500 one-time donations under the bank’s Act to Impact campaign.
Under the program, employees were divided into 20 teams giving each team the opportunity to award a grant, with the total giving totaling $30,000. Grants were presented to the organizations over the month of December and early January.
“I am proud of the bank’s employees for coming together and thoughtfully selecting their Act to Impact grant recipients. The focus on basic human needs and community have really stirred all of us to award grants which will make a meaningful difference in the neighborhoods where we live and work,” the bank’s community outreach coordinator Cheryl Lindstrom said in a statement.
“I appreciate the opportunity to meet with the organizations our employees choose and learn about their cause. Our employees truly have a great pulse on the needs of those in our area and pick organizations that make such meaningful contributions to the lives of those in our community,” bank President and CEO Stephen Lewis said in a statement.
