A New York City developer has bought an 8660-square-foot, triangular lot next to a planned series of developments in Hartford’s Downtown North neighborhood for $400,000.

An LLC controlled by Shelbourne Global Solutions bought the distinctive “Flatiron” building at 539 Ann Uccello St. and the other lot that made up its block for $400,000.

Public records show the transaction happened at the end of January.

Shelbourne is one of downtown’s more active landlords, and counts 20 and 350 Church St. and 100 Pearl St. among its properties. The company is also behind plans to redevelop the Pratt Street corridor in downtown’s core.

The long-vacant, 4-story building it bought is zoned for multifamily uses.
