The Florida businessman who bought the Farmington mansion once owned by Mike Tyson and rapper 50 Cent has revealed his plans for the property: Long-term rentals.

Casey Askar told the Hartford Courant that he plans to rent out the 48,500-square-foot house for around $50,000 a month.

Askar, a commercial real estate investor, originally bought the property as a vacation home but said the coronavirus outbreak and the limited nature of his own family’s vacations means the mansion sits empty for much of the year.

Coldwell Banker agents Steffen Reich and Nick Cifaldi have the listing.

Askar bought the property for $2.9 million early last year, a steep discount from its original asking price.
