Jeff Hubbard, a senior vice president and regional manager at Middletown-based Liberty Bank, has been elected chair of the board of directors of the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA), Connecticut’s largest business organization.
“Our board is full of talented individuals, like Jeff, that bring their extensive knowledge and industry experience to the table to create solutions,” CBIA president and CEO Chris DiPentima said in a statement. “Each member of our board is a crucial part of rebuilding and reimagining what Connecticut is and can be, as we work to bring back jobs, restore economic growth and create opportunities for all residents.”
Hubbard, who operates in Liberty’s New Haven region, succeeds Jennifer DelMonico, managing partner at the law firm Murtha Cullina, who is now immediate past chair.
“I’m excited to lead this incredible group of business leaders to help guide CBIA’s efforts to rebuild Connecticut’s economy,” Hubbard said in a statement.
Shelton-based Matthew McSpedon, JPMorgan Chase Bank’s executive director of Connecticut and Mid-Hudson middle market banking and specialized industries, was elected vice chair. Rina Patel, vice president of operations multi-site with RSCC Wire & Cable in East Granby, was also named a vice chair.
“I look forward to working alongside Rina and Matt and the rest of the board to further engage the business community in driving policy change and fostering economic growth,” Hubbard said.
