Torrington Savings Bank has hired Bryan Cassidy for its executive team, bringing him on as chief information officer and senior vice president.

In his role, Cassidy will be responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership in the development and implementation of TSB’s technology programs, with a focus on effective, stable and secure operations, TSB said in a statement.

Cassidy was most recently Webster Bank’s senior vice president and director of information technology audit, data analytics and professional services. Before that he was vice president and information security officer at Farmington Bank. He has more than 15 years of information technology and cybersecurity experience within banking and other industries.

Cassidy is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Privacy Professional for US Laws (CIPP-US) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He volunteers at Shepard Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center as an advisory board member.
