An award-winning architect who has participated in more than 300 projects at The S/L/A/M Collaborative for clients including Foxwoods Resort Casino and Pfizer has been promoted to principal at the Glastonbury architecture firm.

Catherine Ellithorpe joined SLAM in 1994 and has concentrated on projects in the public education and corporate sectors. 

Ellithorpe’s recent projects include design of two newly-constructed schools in North Providence, along with past work for General Dynamics/Electric Boat, Eversource Energy and Collins Aerospace.

A Suffield resident, Ellithorpe is a member of the AIA Connecticut board of directors and the Connecticut Building Congress, and the first woman member on the SLAM Construction Services board of directors. She received a 2020 Woman of Achievement award from the Connecticut chapter of the Professional Women in Construction.
