New Haven-based architects Pickard Chilton have been selected to design what would be the tallest skyscraper to rise on the Dallas skyline in three decades.

Developer Hillwood Urban is approved to construct the 600-foot tower at 2012 North Field St. The 38-story tower will contain 520,000 square feet of office space and 13 levels of above-grade parking.

A 16th-floor lobby and half-acre of outdoor space called “Sky Park” will connect to private tenant lounge areas and a conference center. Balconies on upper floors will provide views of the Dallas skyline.

Pickard Chilton will be design architect on the project. BOKA Powell is architect of record.

“Establishing the gateway to downtown, Field Street Tower will create unique views and experiences from both inside and out, while also prioritizing the health and wellness of its occupants,” Design Principal Jon Pickard said in a statement.

The building will target LEED Silver certification and the HVAC system is designed with an ultraviolet air purification system.
