A large Stamford apartment complex has sold to a major real estate investor for $154 million, according to public records.

The Parc Grove Apartments at 200 Broad St. were purchased by Pacific Urban Residential from Town Grove LLC, an affiliate of Prudential Financial’s real estate arm. The complex was originally developed as an Avalon community in the mid-1990s.

The 402-unit complex takes up a full city block just outside the Stamford Town Center Mall. The newly-upgraded amenities include: a clubroom with fireplace lounge, resort-style pool, two-story fitness center and cross training room, indoor basketball court and garage parking.

he CBRE team of Jeffrey Dunne, David Gavin, Gene Pride, Jeremy Neuer, Steve Bardsley and Eric Apfel represented the seller while also procuring the buyer.

“The offering represented a highly unique opportunity to buy a 5-plus-acre site, representing a full city block in the heart of Downtown Stamford,” Dunne said in a statement. “In addition to its excellent location and amenities, Parc Grove offers two large courtyards and incredible outdoor space, a rare amenity in a downtown setting such as this.”
