Industrial real estate developer Winstanley Enterprises is proposing yet another large distribution facility in central Connecticut, this time in Enfield.
The Massachusetts-based firm has filed plans with town officials for an 819,000-square-foot building at 25-35 Bacon Road, on an unused portion of the former Hallmark distribution center property. Winstanley bought the 200-plus-acre property in 2016 and subsequently repositioned it as a multi-tenant property.
The new proposed building would be split into one 318,000-square foot and one 501,000-square-foot space, but the company’s applications to the Enfield Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Committee didn’t identify any potential tenants.
The property will not need to be rezoned, but will need wetlands permits. However, Winstanley’s application notes the company designed its proposal to limit the removal of wooded areas separating the proposed building from neighboring residential areas.
