An industrial property in Hampden has traded hands for $2.17 million.
The 120,000-square-foot industrial complex is located at 30 Edmund St., close to both Interstate 91 and Interstate 95.
The seller was Orchard Investments and the buyer was a Stratford LLC registered to local restaurateur Biagio Barone. Orchard had bought the property for $1.11 million in 1996.
The 5.2-acre property is dominated by a U-shaped collection of warehouse, manufacturing and distribution space. The complex is anchored by a warehouse built in 1915, according to town property records. Certain portions of the complex have 20-foot wall heights.
The property is broken up in to several rental units, with the smallest starting at 7,000 square feet according to Press|Cuozzo Commercial Services, whose Stephen Press represented the seller and procured the buyer in the transaction.
