Technology consulting and digital solutions firm Larsen & Toubro Infotech has expanded its presence in the U.S. with a new engagement center in Hartford.

The Mumbai-based company said in a statement that the center will “enable workforce transformation and localization for LTI in the Americas.”

Located in the historic “Boat Building” on Constitution Plaza, the 13,000-square-foot center is equipped with advanced technology infrastructure and an evolved organizational approach leveraging cloud-based collaboration tools.

“We are excited to welcome LTI, a rising star in the global technology sector, to the city of Hartford,” Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin said in a statement. “This new LTI engagement center is a powerful addition to [the city’s] rapidly growing tech ecosystem. LTI has committed to building partnerships and investing in the Hartford community and the Greater Hartford region, and we look forward to working closely with LTI to help build a talent pipeline in partnership with our educational institutions.”

LTI did not say in its statement how many employees it intends to hire, but did note the center will support more than 100 employees. The firm aims to recruit professionals and grad students from local colleges and universities.
