Joanne Breen

Joanne Breen, the former president of the CT Realtors statewide trade group, has been elected to a senior post with the National Association of Realtors.

Breen will be the 2023 regional vice president covering New England.

NAR regional vice presidents oversee NAR efforts within their region. They also serve as a liaison between the national association and the state and local associations.

Breen, an Old Saybrook resident, is the former longtime owner of ERA Sargis-Breen Real Estate – now ERA Hart Sargis-Breen Real Estate – which has offices in Newington and Berlin. She still works as a broker-associate at the firm after selling it in recent years.

“It is a great honor to be selected to hold this position,” Breen said in a statement provided by CT Realtors. “I look forward to serving NAR and working with Realtors throughout the New England region. I am passionate about advocating for our industry and fighting to protect individual property rights.”

In addition to her success as a broker and a Realtor for over 40 years, Breen was the 2020 CT Realtors president and the 2016 president of the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors. She was named the state’s top Realtor in 2021 by CT Realtors, and the Hartford region’s top Realtor in 2018 by GHAR.
