Jewett City Savings Bank has elected Gary W. Peloquin as board chairman and Gail Rooke-Norman to serve as vice-chairman.
Peloquin and Rooke-Norman were elected to their roles by the board of directors following the bank’s annual meeting of corporators, the bank said in a statement.
Peloquin was previously vice chairman of the board for eight years. He has been on the board since 2008 and has been a corporator since 1999. Peloquin is the founder of Peloquin and Company LLC, a CPA firm in Danielson. He is also the founder of Westcott Investment Advisors LLC, a registered investment adviser.
A corporator for Jewett City Savings Bank since 1984, Rooke-Norman became the first woman elected to the bank’s board in 2000, according to the statement. She is Jewett City Savings’ first female vice chairman of the board and has been an advocate for women in management and leadership roles during her time on the board, the statement said. Rooke-Norman is an attorney specializing in estate planning and elder law at Rooke-Norman & Associates Law Office LLC in Danielson.
“Gary and Gail have served the bank for many years and have been instrumental in helping the bank grow and carry out our mission,” Michael Alberts, president, and CEO of Jewett City Savings Bank, said in the statement. “We are very excited to welcome them into their newly elected positions and look forward to their continued contributions and leadership.”
The $400 million-asset Jewett City Savings Bank is a mutual savings bank with offices in Jewett City, Brooklyn, Dayville, Pawcatuck, Plainfield, Preston and Putnam.
