A former standalone Lord & Taylor store in Stamford will continue as a retail location after discount retailer Saks Off 5th announced it has signed a lease for the property.
Saks Off 5th, the discount brand of the famed Saks 5th Avenue department store owned by Hudson’s Bay Co., will take about 30,000 square feet at 110 High Ridge Road.
The property housed a Lord & Taylor location until early last year, when the department store chain went bankrupt.
Saks Off 5th had a location in Stamford’s Town Center mall until December last year, which itself had replaced a long-running Saks 5th Avenue store in 2015.
“Our customers continue to share with us that the in-store experience is an important part of their shopping journey at Saks Off 5th,” Rob Brooks, president of Saks Off 5th’s store division, said in a statement. “We’re excited to return to the Stamford community and provide our loyal customers an enhanced shopping experience in an elevated environment with access to the designers they know and love.”
