Luis Ramos, Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union’s chairman, has been named board chair for a national trade group for credit union board members.

The National Association of Credit Union Chairs has elected Ramos as chair for the 2022-23 term, the organization said in a statement. The NACUC is the national trade group offering development opportunities, education and networking for credit union board chairs and board members looking to become chairs in the future.

Ramos has been Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union’s board chairman since 2014. He has been on the Rocky Hill-based credit union’s board since 2005 and was on the credit union’s supervisory committee from 1998 to 2005, according to his biography on Nutmeg State FCU’s website. He works for AT&T.

The NACUC held its annual meeting in Boston last month.
