Members of Connecticut’s main real estate agent trade group formally made David P. Gallitto of New Haven-based Huntsman, Meade & Partners their leader for 2023 at their annual meeting.

The Old Saybrook dinner marked the annual changeover in CT Realtors’ leadership that also saw the installation of Carl Lantz of West Hartford’s Coldwell Banker branch made president-elect, Steve Miller of Keller Williams’ Wallingford office made first vice president and Brian Tunney of Greenwich-based Brown Harris Stevens chosen as treasurer.

“It is a great honor to serve my fellow Realtors. I have dedicated myself to my community and my profession, and look forward to serving our members and the industry across the state,” Gallitto said in a statement released by the trade group. “I believe active involvement in legislative issues that impact homeowners and real estate as a whole is a priority. We, as an association, need to be the voice for property owners.”

Middletown native Gallitto has been a Realtor for 21 years, the last 10 of which have been spent in the CT Realtors’ executive committee. He was also president of his local New Haven Middlesex Association of Realtors in 2016 and was that association’s Realtor of the Year in 2013.

The dinner also saw Realtors raise money for the trade group’s seventh annual Be Homeful for the Holidays campaign, a fundraiser to benefit the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness’ efforts to keep families out of the shelter system and in their homes. The group also matched every $25 donated as part of the campaign with a stuffed Paddington bear or a backpack to be given to children staying in shelters during the holiday season.
