Thomaston Savings Bank has named Francesca Kracht as its next chief risk officer. Kracht replaces Nancy O’Donnell, who retired from the bank at the end of December.
Kracht, who was also named senior vice president, joined Thomaston Savings Bank 15 years ago as assistant vice president and compliance and Bank Secrecy Act officer, Thomaston Savings Bank said in a statement. Since 2016 she has been the bank’s vice president and senior project officer.
In her new role, Kracht has oversight of the bank’s risk, compliance, BSA/anti-money laundering, project management and information security areas.
“I am pleased to have Francesca move into the Chief Risk Officer role,” Stephen Lewis, Thomaston Savings Bank president and CEO, said in the statement. “She was not only an integral part in establishing our Project Management area but also provides dedicated leadership to the Risk Department.”
The bank said Kracht had a key role in its 2013 core technology conversion and spearheaded the formation of the risk department’s project management area in 2016. She was named a New Leader in Banking by the Connecticut Bankers Association in 2017.
Kracht is a board member for the town of Litchfield’s Board of Ethics and for The Paige J. Batten Memorial Scholarship Fund. She was previously a board member for the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce.
