Manufacturer Expanding After Leasing Guilford Property

A newly-acquired Guilford property will be leased to a 149-year-old local company seeking expansion space.

Guilford-based George Schmitt & Co. will occupy 14,400 square feet at 320 Soundview Road, which was acquired in September by Clinton-based PBA Properties for $1.39 million.

The manufacturer of labels, packaging and security printing materials is expanding after outgrowing its existing property at 251 Boston Post Road.

The property previously was owned by FlexXray, a Texas-based company that provides X-ray inspections of food products.

Kevin Geenty of The Geenty Group represented the landlord in the lease negotiation.
