New Haven Bank made charitable donations in 2022 of more than $50,000, its largest annual donation amount since the bank’s founding in 2010.

The bank said in a statement that more than 40 nonprofit organizations received donations and volunteer support from New Haven Bank last year.

“Serving and bettering New Haven is central to all that we do,” Maureen A. Frank, New Haven Bank’s president and CEO, said in the statement. “New Haven is our home and it is our commitment to extend compassion for the success and well-being of neighbors beyond the walls of the bank and into the neighborhoods that we, too, call home. We are privileged to participate in local events, dedicate resources to the greater good, and work hand in hand with others to strengthen our community.”

New Haven Bank, which has about $168 million in assets, is the only bank in Connecticut designated as a community development financial institution.

Organizations that received charitable donations from New Haven Bank last year included Chapel Haven, Connecticut Black Expo, Gather New Haven and Goodwill of Southern New England.
