New Canaan-based Bankwell Financial Group Inc. has added CBRE’s Jeffrey Dunne to its board of directors.
Dunne was elected effective yesterday to the boards for the parent company and the bank, Bankwell said in a statement.
Dunne is a vice chairman at CBRE Inc. and oversees the New York capital markets team that sells income-producing multifamily, office, retail and industrial assets, the statement said. The team’s business is largely transacted in the New York region, though the group also sells portfolios throughout the United States.
Dunne is on the board of trustees of the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, the real estate advisory board at Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal School of Business and the real estate board for Bishop Frank Faggiano of the Diocese of Bridgeport.
“We are excited to welcome Jeff to Bankwell’s Board of Directors,” Bankwell’s Chairman Blake Drexler said in the statement. “Jeff’s vast experience in real estate, financial acumen, leadership skills and his community involvement make him an ideal addition to our board.”
Bankwell has $3.2 billion in assets and nine branches in Fairfield and New Haven counties.
