The development firm behind a large. planned apartment building near the New Haven-West Haven line has secured a set of parcels key to the development.
Catalina Buffalo Holdings picked up of 380 and 384 Davenport Ave. and 879 Congress Ave. in New Haven for a combined $1.1 million according to public records. The seller, Quality Plumbing Supply, was represented by Michael Richetelli of Colonial Properties; Catalina was represented by John Lockhart of Northeast Private Client Group.
Plans approved by new Haven officials last year show a 5-story, 188,150-square-foot, 194-unit apartment building planned for the properties Catalina recently bought, along with other neighboring properties. Amenities include a fitness center with a “yoga/flex space,” tenant lounge and a bike storage room, plus an 11,000-square-foot courtyard equipped with grills and a roof deck connected to a clubhouse room and coworking space. Parking will consist of 137 vehicle spaces on the ground floor and in outdoor lots, including electric vehicle chargers for 10 spots, plus 30 bicycle spaces.
Groundbreaking is expected by the end of 2023.
