The Greater Hartford Association of Realtors awarded Ardor Real Estate broker Christine Green its annual Good Neighbor Award in recognition of her work with Protectors of Animals. The East Hartford animal shelter will receive a donation of $1,000.
“Often a pup arrives scared, hungry, abused and/or neglected. The stories we hear and the impact of abuse we witness firsthand are so hard to bear, however, after they spend time at the shelter and experience love, comfort and understanding you can see their trust build,” Green said in a statement.
The GHAR Good Neighbor Award recognizes a Realtor who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through their volunteer time and talents.
Green has volunteered with POA for five years and is currently on the board of directors. Her volunteer work includes feeding, walking, teaching basic commands and cleaning out pens. She has also adopted two dogs that were hard to place due to medical issues.
