With the end of the state’s legislative session fast approaching, it’s unclear whether or not efforts to push through zoning reforms to promote more housing construction will succeed.

At a press conference Wednesday, Gov. Ned Lamont was reluctant to pledge that a reform bill would get through, according to the Connecticut Mirror.

The two main concepts being weighed in the General Assembly are an infrastructure grant program that would encourage towns to boost density near train and bus stations, and a proposal to have the state analyze regional housing needs and assign towns and cities a quota of units to zone for.
