The parcels at 48-60 Boston Post Road was sold for $14.5 million by Boston-based Great Island Development Group Orange LLC for $14.5 million.
The Sam’s Club and Lowe’s Home Improvement stores that occupied the 15.4-acre site closed in 2018 and 2019.
In October 2020, Amazon announced plans for a last-mile distribution center on the property. The facility spans 128,706 square feet, according to Orange assessors’ records.
The e-commerce giant has slowed the pace of its real estate expansion after growing rapidly during and immediately after the pandemic. Amazon has canceled, closed or delayed plans for nearly 100 warehouses across the U.S. since September, according to MWPVL International data cited in a Bisnow report.
