Ion Bank is opening its new 22nd branch in Southington. And it comes with a new benefit for customers: an electric vehicle charging station.
The new branch is located at 376 North Main St. in Southington.
The branch will also have a interactive teller machine, which the bank calls a “Personal Teller Machine.” Bank customers can drive through the bank’s ITM and use its video link to conduct transactions traditionally done inside a bank branch.
The ITM will run on extended hours from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday, and only until 3 p.m. on a Saturday. Typical transactions done through ITMs include making deposits and payments, withdrawals, transferring money and cashing checks.
The new Southington branch is staffed with bankers who can do financial consultations for customers, as well as business banking and commercial lenders to serve customers’ needs from new checking accounts or mortgages to commercial loans, personalized business banking and cash management.
The branch will also feature wealth management and insurance services by the bank’s affiliate Ion Investments.
“This is such an exciting opportunity to bring a true community bank to Southington,” David J. Rotatori, president and CEO of Ion Bank, said in a statement. “As a mutual bank, we do what is in the best interest of our customers and the communities we serve. We’re thrilled to now be part of the Southington community and welcome the opportunity to serve its residents, families, and businesses.”
