Major Connecticut developer RMS Cos. is preparing to open its latest multifamily development, a hotel-to-apartment conversion in downtown Hartford.
The company partnered with Waterford Hotel Group to redevelop the top 11 floors of the downtown Hartford Hilton into “The Revel,” a 147-unit rental property. The bottom 11 floors of the building, housing 170 hotel rooms, were also renovated into a new DoubleTree by Hilton-branded hotel.
The apartments include studios, one- and two-bedroom units, with the former starting at $1,250 per month, CT Insider reported, thanks to their small size. The news site also reports strong leasing demand for the units.
RMS is also the primary developer of the North Crossing multi-phase multifamily project centered around the Dunkin’ Park baseball stadium and is in line to redevelop the former Rensselaer Polytechnic graduate school campus just to that project’s north.
