New Haven architecture firm Svigals + Partners is showcasing the work it did designing a new headquarters office for local wealth management company Kreitler Financial on the fifth floor of downtown New Haven’s One Century Tower.
The design firm says the 5,200-square-foot space is intended to deliver a “comfortably curated, non-corporate” feel.
“We’ve been working with this client, now for a second time, to create a new and dramatic entry sequence aligned with Kreitler Financial’s practice of personally accompanying clients from the building’s lobby and into their offices and hospitality spaces,” Svigals + Partners’ director of interior design Katherine Berger said in a statement. “When clients enter the reception area, they’re greeted by a large, windowed expanse that floods the interiors with daylight and opens to picturesque views of natural greenery and the landmarks on Yale’s campus. It’s like a wall of naturally occurring art, yet it’s deeply connected to this city and community.”
Kreitler Financial has maintained offices at One Century Tower for the last nine years.
The design includes a 650-square-foot breakroom and three conference rooms at the center, with enclosed offices and open workstations at either end of the oblong office suite.
The breakroom, equipped with a wall monitor, can double as an additional client or staff meeting space.
In addition, both the private and collaborative workspaces feature artwork selected to celebrate the individual interests of employees, Svigals + Partners said.
Innovative Engineering Services, Verwol Glass Walls, Illuminate Lighting and Execuspace Construction were part of Svigals’ project team. Jefferson Group and Citybench Furniture supplied the furniture.
“The world is changing rapidly and financial and investing tools are increasing complex,” Charlie F. Kreitler, president of Kreitler Financial, said in a statement provided by Svigals. “Our goal is to give our clients confidence through clarity, and that begins with making them feel at home as soon as they arrive with an environment that helps foster deep and meaningful conversations about what’s important to them.”
