A Massachusetts boutique movie theater chain has tapped a Newington commercial brokerage as it attempts to expand its footprint across the Northeast.
Reno Properties Group announced last week that they’d be representing O’Neil Cinemas as the company looks to find “at least 2-3 locations” for new theaters in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and New York.
O’Neil Cinemas’ offering is part of the latest trend in cinema design that’s seeing theaters kitted out with recliners – heated, in O’Neil’s case – high-end sound systems and other immersive tech like curved screens and 3-D movie projection technology. O’Neil also offers patrons “a full dining experience” where food and beverages are delivered to each person’s seat.
The company currently runs locations in Epping, New Hampshire and Littleton, Massachusetts. It’s looking for second generation move theaters and vacant big box retail space to hold its new locations.
“We are confident in our abilities to secure properties for O’Neil Cinemas and look forward to introducing an elevated cinematic experience across the Northeast and beyond,” Reno Vice President of Sales Nicholas Goglia said in a statement.
