A Lakeville developer wants to replace the former home of the Hartford Medical Society with a new apartment building.

Anisha LLC, which is registered to a Lakeville commercial address, is seeking an inland wetlands and watercourses permit from Hartford officials for a 68-unit multifamily redevelopment at 230 Scarborough St.

The LLC bought the triangular site in Hartford’s West End from a Hartford resident for $425,000 in December 2022 as part of a 1031 exchange, according to a deed filed with the Hartford town clerk’s office. It’s currently occupied by a 26,646-square-foot office-and-educational complex built in 1956, according to city property records, that was at one point the home of the Hartford Medical Society.

The Hartford Planning & Zoning Commission is scheduled to hear the application today.

Plans filed with the commission show a 25,625-square-foot, 3-story, slab-on-grade building separated from the Park River by a 136-space parking lot. The application includes no details on the planned unit mix or amenities.
