Theraplant LLC Buys Watertown Building For Medical Marijuana Facility For $2M

856 Echo Lake Rd Theraplant LLC has purchased an industrial building in Watertown for $2 million to be used as a medical marijuana growth facility.

The building at 856 Echo Lake Road will be renovated and used "to further the science of medical marijuana, to help doctors heal and deliver relief to patients," according to a press release.

Theraplant LLC is one of four companies awarded a license to produce medical marijuana in Connecticut. Advanced Grow Labs leased 26,000 square feet in West Haven for a growing facility earlier this month. As of January, almost 1,700 patients have been certified for the state’s medical marijuana program. Theraplant expects to have marijuana ready for sale this summer.

The seller of the Watertown building was PPG Industries Inc. Toby Brimberg and Phil Marshall of O,R&L Commercial were the sole brokers in this transaction.
