Liberty Bank held a grand reopening celebration at its Naugatuck branch following the acquisition of Naugatuck Valley Financial Corp. and Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan.
Over 100 people attended the event at 333 Church St.
“We may be new in town, but we’re here to stay, and we’re committed to treating you like neighbors, not transactions. I hope you’ll get that sense every time you visit a branch or contact us for assistance,” Liberty Bank President and CEO Chandler J. Howard said in a statement.
The bank also distributed $25,000 to local nonprofits at the event.

Upon the completion of the merger, Liberty Bank has approximately $4.5 billion in assets.
