Brandon C. Lorey, executive vice president and head of consumer banking at Hartford-based United Bank, is leaving the company.
The bank announced Lorey’s resignation in a regulatory filing yesterday and said that Lorey was leaving to become CEO at an out-of-market financial institution, although the filing did not specify which financial institution. A spokesperson from United said the bank that Lorey will be working for next plans to make an announcement about his appointment some time this afternoon.
Lorey will stay on with United until June 3. Once he leaves, the company intends to eliminate the executive vice president and head of consumer banking position, and those duties will be absorbed by other members of the management team.
Lorey has been with United Bank for nearly six and a half years, according to his LinkedIn profile. Before that, he spent six years as a chief lending officer at H&R Block, and before that 13 years as a risk manager at Chevy Chase Bank, which has since been acquired by Capital One.
