Farmington-based The Metro Realty Group Ltd. is proposing a four-building mixed-use development in South Windsor adjacent to the town’s new Evergreen Walk lifestyle center.

The landlord-developer has filed a request for mixed-use zoning with the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission for a group of parcels at 200 Gateway Blvd. and 218-274 Buckland Road.

While the proposed zoning would allow multifamily developments, the general site plan filed with the application shows three office buildings of between 25,000 and 30,000 square feet and two 19,400-square-foot retail buildings with seven leasable spaces apiece ranging from 1,200 square feet to 4,050 square feet. The plans show the two project’s parking lots connecting to and wrapping around a prexisting liquor store to link up with those serving a recently-built Aldi grocery store and Chase Bank branch.

Metro currently owns only one of the parcels involved, having paid $1.8 million for 274 Buckland Road in September according to The Warren Group, publisher of The Commercial Record.
